Laidback Luke returns to NewState Music with latest release Speak Up, this time teaming up with NYC vocalist Wynter Gordon who gives the track chart topping credentials. Already well known for a multitude of collaborations with various big names including David Guetta, Diplo and A-Trak, Laidback Luke more recently hooked up with Sander van Doorn on the stellar track Who’s Wearing The Cap, a mash up of trance, progressive and electro. 2011 also saw Luke enjoying chart success on UK Top 40 hit, Natural Disaster with Example, as well as his work with Steve Aoki and the master of crunk Lil’ Jon on Turbulence that took over Radio 1 airwaves.

Laidback Luke has been making music since the mid-90’s but it’s the last four years that have seen him rising to the heights of international superstar dj & producer status. On latest cut Timebomb, Luke teams up with long time collaborator, vocalist Jonathan Mendelsohn, to create what Annie Mac on Radio 1 described the Instrumental mix as a ‘stadium house’ track. Never one to shy away from his fans and supporters, Luke has decided to offer you the high-quality video for Timebomb to post on your blog site. Loud, colourful, fast paced and action packed, it’s the true visual epitome of Luke’s larger-than-life-ethos and a great accompaniment to the Radio 1 and Buzz Chart topping single from Holland’s most in demand house producer.

Nouveau Yorican – a project formed of Gina Turner and Laidback Luke– is the duo’s modern interpretation of Latin-inspired New York house. Mixing the vibes of the past Dutch and New York underground scenes with current dancefloor sensibilities, this latest track finds that elusive spark of magic that elevates a merely good track to the upper echelons of class. ‘Chiuso’ embeds its simple, yet devastatingly effective hook deep into your consciousness while it’s techy, driving beats and relentless groove urge you to the dancefloor with irresistible force. In Nederland weet je het maar nooit met het weer. Maar wanneer er mooie festivals in Amsterdam geprogrammeerd staan, blijken de weergoden steeds goed gezind deze zomer. A Day at the Park was een stralende dag met strak blauwe hemel en ook het afgelopen zaterdag gehouden Loveland Festival 2010 vond plaats met erg mooi weer. Een graad of 24, weinig wind en geregeld zon! En ook deze locatie leent zich net als het Amsterdamse Bos uitstekend voor een festival, zoals Loveland. Water, weide en bos, alle drie van deze elementen zijn aanwezig. De main stage (Fire Stage) lag tussen een bosrand met een uitgebreid veld als dansvloer. De stage zelf was opgebouwd in de vorm van een burcht. Dat is toch wel de trend van de afgelopen jaren. Vaak zie je burchten terug uit vervlogen tijden als stage op festivals. Mooi om te zien en het levert mooie foto’s op.
