Conquering the world with your fellow Mafioso’s is one thing, doing it again solo is something else. Sebastian Ingrosso has however achieved global recognition after the split of ‘house mythology’ Swedish House Mafia. Their world tour travelled to 36 cities and headlined 56 shows in a period of 5 months. After the split in 2013, Sebastian has graced the stages of festivals across the world such as Summerburst, Tomorrowland, Sziget, Creamfields and Electric Zoo. To add to that, he’s gone on tour with Stereosonic across Australia where he joined fellow artists such as David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Armin van Buuren. Seems he’s well on his way in creating his own mythology. But how could he be any different growing up with a father who owned two record labels? With music all around him, all the time, Sebastian was just 14 years old when he started to produce music, and it was in his early years when he already met best friend Steve Angello. It was back in 1999 that he released his first remix and since then has released a successful steady stream of original tracks and remixes. He’s had tremendous success with hits such as ‘Reload’ with Tommy Trash and ‘Leave the World Behind’ which he released on Axwell’s record label Axtone. He furthermore has his own record label ‘Refune’, which features artists like Alesso, with whom he released the hit ‘Calling’. When you’re aiming for world domination, you of course need to have your own club night in ‘House Mecca’ Ibiza, 2013 was the first summer that saw ‘Departures’ at Ushuaïa. A joint venture of Sebastian Ingrosso and his old band member Axwell. Swedish House Mafia is certainly a royal house family, with Sebastian Ingrosso being a real house prince.
